135i vs 335i
I was wondering why the reviews online, says the 135i does 0-60 in 5.3 second when the 335i can do it in 4.8.
Dont they have similar hp, torque and a identical turbo and engine. I am guessing the reviews are conservative, or the 135i has different gearing than the 335. what do you guys think? |

Actually, as far as we know, no outside organization (magazine, etc) has tested the 135i yet. BMW claims the 135i will do 0-100 kmh in 5.3 seconds (100 kmh ~ 62 mph).

Bmw 335i with manual gearbox sprints from 0-60 in 5.3 seconds according to bmwusa.com. People on different forums claim that they have done below 5 sec... but officialy it is 5.3 seconds or 5.5 sec. for auto..

Most of the American rags put the 335 at a tick under 5 seconds to 60 (4.8-4.9). The 135 is a substantially lighter car with the same engine, so it damn well better be a bit faster than the 335.
My performance fears for the 135 have to do with the open diff and the electric power steering. I have no doubt it will be a scorcher in a straight line. |
