They aren't going to pull this number out of a hat-
it's probably been told to them by BMW N/A.
If it's true, the car is coming in below what almost anyone predicted.
It will be a freakin' bargain!

The earlier article is running photoshops of the car.
This is with the official pics...and I'm thinking this is an update on price.
Has to be. They just can't spin out the same # without at least rechecking with sources.
It's such a big introduction- I know C&D must take this very seriously in order to stay credible.

That is disappointing. Actually I bought the Sept. issue and tried to find it on C&D and got the June by mistake. After rereading both articles, the Sept. article is just a re-hash of the same information. No new numbers, or info. As you said though, maybe we can put more stock in them now being 3 months later and closer to release. They stated 27K and 32-33K in June. My bad for putting up the wrong article.

I put a little more validity in the September issue talking about pricing. I don't think BMW would let C&D Post numbers that are going to be too far from reality.

All I can say is sweeeeeeet!

i want to get excited about the price but then they say its atleast 200 lbs lighter when its really less than 100, which is a little strange... maybe they know something we dont know :iono:

Yeah, I've had a chance to chill after reading the C&D article.
Reality has begun to give me some doubts.

C&D could have been lazy and not contacted anyone at BMW...
just reprinted the earlier info. But that is really lazy and journalistically irresponsible.
These mags make mistakes all the time, but on the other hand I see the editor Csaba Csere being interviewed on the network shows as an authority when it comes to automobiles...
so there's a stake in getting it right.

33k seems awfully low until you think about how much the options will be-
the M-sport option I would think would go for at least another 1500-2000.
It begins to add up fast when you start upgrading sound/nav.

Right now- even tho it's the second time this number has appeared in print-
maybe it's too good to be true. :iono:
