I have some beautiful e90 m6 reps right now and I'm hoping I can put them on my 1er. Any clues? I thinking since the 5er and 7er offsets are different the 1er will be, but fingers crossed.

I am betting you can fit 265/30/19 rear on 9.5 and 235/35/19 on 8.5

30s are VERY harsh in city/daily driving and your rims wont last a week..
I hope tire technology advances and 245s will give us plenty of traction for 400hp rwd car..

I'm running it now, it's softer then my stock rft's with 18's were, of course my 19s aren't runflats, im serious, its a better softer grippier ride.

I live in New York city area, every other inch is a 6 inch deep pothole or construction or gravel.. 19s wouldn't last here..

Your absolutely right, i live in northern jersey as well and they would get destroyed. But the would look good.

Yes, the first step will be getting rid of the runflats and mounting something sticky, like Bridgestone RE-01Rs (at least for play time).

But I'm interested in learning the offsets also. I have a set of BBS RC 18x8.5 et38 that are several pounds lighter than the OE wheels will be I'm sure. Then there are my set of track wheels, SSR Comp 17x9 et45 (16.5lbs), but I don't know if they fit over the larger 135i front brakes.

I should also state that I'm NOT a fan of staggered wheel/tire sizes. It's the BMW lawyers dumbing down the handling to prevent us Colonials from killing ourselves. And 215x40-18s on 7.5" wide front wheels? Please! That is waaaay under tired in front for a performance car that's going to weigh somewhere around 3400-3500lb going down the road. It will be interesting to see who is the first to stuff 275x30-19s on 19x9.5 wheels at all four corners. Not that I would do that, of course.:wink:

I'm with you on avoiding a bit of the built in understeer. It would be great if you could run 265 rear on 9.5 and 245 front on 9. Then get some sways and adjust the tire pressure a bit, and VOILA!

That should work just fine for street, but not HPDE or autocross.

I know guys have fit 255's in the front of e90/92's with rubbing only at the maximum turn radius. I wouldn't be surprised if you could run 265 rear and 255 front as long as you didn't drop it more the .5 inches. I'm running 275's rear on my e90, I know guys running 285 without rubbing, but they aren't dropped at all.

20 sidewall would suck for riding quality and will bend your rim..
245/275 I think will be a nice balance for summer...

Quick question for you then... I haven't read enough threads from people whom actually give a crap about handling...

On a BMW, say an E46, does the car actualyl handle better without staggered wheels? I know on most other applications, eliminating the staggered and going equal will actually increase handling dramatically, but I didn't know how the BMW's were setup....

If you want to seriously reduce understeer the first thing to do in E36 and E46 BMWs is eliminate the stagger and go with same size wheel/tire setup front and rear. An added bonus that increases tire life is you are then able to properly rotate the tires. On my E36 M3 i currently run 18x8.5 BBS RC wheels with 235x40 tires on both ends. I'll be buying a set of 255x35-18 tires before long to replace those. My car is very neutral handling with this setup, of course, I have extensive suspension mods as well.

Hey guys, did we ever find out what the 135i sport wheels offsets are? I though I read somewhere they were 43?

I was wondering because my 335i m6 reps are I think +35 front and +40 rear.

If the 1er rear is +43, maybe my 275's would be perfrect?

If you go to realOEM.com, and you look up the ! series, it looks like the wheels are all in the high 40s! Sweet, my OEM CSL wheels that I have on my E46 right now will surely look amazing!
