BMW of Fremont Screwed me up again!
now it's second time. Last time, I went there for the software update, the SA promised to program my alarm but I ended up nothing. I called him up, after whole bunch of bs explanation such as I didn't have an alarm (I showed him my alarm features: sonic sensor trigger, door trigger...), then I didn't have an OEM BMW alarm( I showed him the part number). Finally the SA took my key, drove my car to the service warehouse and drove back. He slammed my key on his desk and I saw that. He came out saying that something wrong w/ my alarm ( How the f. he knew something wrong w/ my alarm for just after 1 min. driving around). He scheduled me next day to come back for them to look at the alarm. When I brought the car back, he didn't even come out and made me wait in the room for 40 min. I was so angry, just took my car back and drove off the dealer.
Today was my schedule for the oil service and emission recall. I arrived at the dealer at 8:40 am (my appointment time). I was so mad because I had to wait for 1 hour 5 min. before the SA (different one from last time) took me in. After finishing the paper works, I headed to the rental car office for a BMW loaner as promised a week ago when I made my appointment. What happened: no bmw available..wtf!!! They moved my appointment from Sat. morning to Fri. morning because they said they have BMW loaners on Friday. I was extremely mad. I told them to just give my car back and I took off. The SA promised to call me tomorrow when they have a bmw loaner. However, I'm done with this dealer. I'll schedule my service in another bmw dealer. I'll also move my sister's bmw to other dealer for services. I'm about to order a bmw for my gf and place a deposit on a 335 for my brother, and BMW of Fremont just lost the business with me. I will never recommend any friend to this dealer ever again.

Oh, also this morning one lady before me complained the same thing about the loaner too. She was promised a BMW loaner a day before and when she brought her car in for the service, she got no bmw loaner. They offered her a free upgrade to a MB, but she refused. She said it's not about the car, but about the promise that they couldn't keep. She had to come back this morning to get it. What a service!
I think from now on I should have my own rating system for the dealer service in which I will take 1 point off the scale of 5 for every 15-min waiting. It's not fair that we gave them 5 and they treated us like idiots. Next time, if the SA smash my remote on the desk again, I'll kick his ass.

Pretender,
I'm glad to hear you are happy with the service at SCBMW. A friend of mind took his Z3 to Fremont BMW for service and they wrecked his car when the service was done, since then I would never considered Fremont to service my vehicle beside I knew the service manager at SCBMW which make a bit easier to arrange for service.

My wife and I also had bad experience with BMW Fremont 2-3 weeks ago. We were there to inquire about the price for a ED 330i and how the whole ED process works. The manager there kept trying to persuade us not to get the car through ED and basically refused to give us a price quote. When we asked for a testdrive and asked him to show us how the NAV works, he was very reluctant and made jokes about having to charge us for the testdrive and all his trouble. In general, he seemed so annoyed by our questions and didn't even try to earn our business at all. WTF??? I hate BMW dealers who think they are the shit or something.
We eventually made the purchase with Dave Parker in Stevens Creeks and had a MUCH nicer experience. |

I've had some experience with Stevens Creek (bought car there) and Fremont, so I thought I'd share what I encountered. I had a mixed experience with Fremont, but, overall, things turned out pretty well, especially compared to Pretender's experience. I originally went in to Fremont because they told me I had to go in to order the rear deck spoiler in person (no idea why ). However, once I went it, I found out I had to sign up on a non-appointment list when I arrived just to speak to an SA. After half an hour, I told the woman at the service desk that I was told to come in....and soon after, an SA spoke to me. The SA was very courteous and everything went much smoother on the service side of things from here on. I wanted to get an early oil change, so he set me right up without an appointment and I only wait an hour for the oil change and paid $93. Stevens Creek wanted $175 They also washed my car before returning it too me, which was nice. The SA also helped me order the spoiler. From this point on, I just contacted the SA directly and everything seemed pretty smooth. I went in earlier this week for the spoiler install. Everything seemed ok until I went to their Enterprise office to get my loaner. They claimed that they lost the key!!! True or not, that was pretty lame. After waiting for about 1/2 an hour to see if they can find the keys, I ended up going to work in a Ford Focus. Man, did that make me appreciate my Bimmer more than ever!:rocks: I didn't have much choice. At least they paid for gas. When I got the car back, it still had the tape on the spoiler and the SA told me to remove it in the morning. When I did, I saw residue from the tape. He told me to bring the car in so he can take a look at it. I did today without an appointment. He took a quick look and immediately drove the car to the back. 15 minutes later, I got the the car back with the residue removed and the entire car washed...The spoiler install was also $100 less than what Stevens Creek wanted. So overall, it wasn't half bad.
