335 Coupe BAD Wind Noise
Hello Guys..
I've written posts in the past about this issue, but i've been down many different avenues with my local BMW Dealers, and i'm just getting no joy what so ever!! Basically, when i drive at hi speed, my driver window (off-side) starts makeing noise.. obviously the faster i drive, the louder it gets.. i was in a hurry to the airport at 3:45am last Wednesday morning, and i really put my foot down on the empty road, to see what heppened with the window.. i was curious to see if the noise may reduce at a certain speed, but it never.. When i hit 130 (Mph), it was actually soo loud i had to rise my voice alot to talk to my mate in the passenger seat.. but as we pushed on to 150, it was soooo loud it made my ear sore with the pitch of noise it was producing! I'm just trying to find out if i've got a dodgey coupe.. or if anyone else has this problem.. BMW are no help to me what so ever, coz obviously they just tell me not to drive soo fast, but the fact is, there is a fault with my car, so it may be making noise @ 100mph today, but in 4 years, it could start making noise at 70mph.. when the warranty has run out.. i just want my car to be normal.. it cost me £49K, and i just don't think i should have problems with any car that costs me that kind of money.. my sister drives a VW that cost her £17K, and she gets a more reasonable drive than me.. it sucks.. Please Help Thanks in advance for any reply's.. Mike |

Agree with the dealership.
Don't drive so fast (unless you're on a track). That being said can you tell where from the door the noise emanates? Is it the window or around the door? Maybe the window isn't closing properly, maybe the door's not fit properly into place. |

adjust the window. had an e92 not too long ago that above 80mph it would make some wind noise..never drove it faster than that. adjusted the window using all the special tools and the wind noise is gone

I get wind noise when i reach 120 Km/h. Noise which can be really annoying when the radio is switched off. Its coming i think from the top right side of the door

I don't get any noise. Maybe you got a faulty window or the seal isn't air tight
