They speculate that was caused by the belts not being tight enough. thoughts?

I thought it was because of improper location of the crotch strap. As a result of deceleration, his sack got crushed against his pubic bone, right?

Place the jewels properly before going out to play.

That said.....ouch!!

You both are right, one is the consequence (improper plavement) of the other (not tight to start with)
