Question about my new M5 competition break in

So I purchased my new m5 comp yesterday and it was 290 miles from where I live. I drove anywhere between 55-85 mph never going over 2500-3000 rpm. Stopped once or twice for a few minutes left the car running both times. Is it bad I drove it for pretty much 5 hours straight? Should I have gotten on the gas more for certain stretches? I guess I’m just worried about this whole break in period lol I want the car to run like a champ when it’s over. Any insights or advice would be super helpful. First post - thanks!

I guess you won’t know for sure unless you looked inside the cylinders but I’m sure it’s fine
Lots of info about running in but what I’ve gleaned is the following

No kick down
Not above 4500rpm
No full throttle
<100mph
Vary the load on the engine
No driving at constant speed (using the cruise control)
Avoid short journies as bedding occurs once engine is warmed up
Once 1200 miles up gradually increase load and revs
As a M model you will obviously have your service undertaken at that mileage

I’d seen somewhere that the bulk of bedding in occurs in the first 100-150 miles

For me the purpose of undertaking this was:-

I plan to keep this car for a long time
Ensure any oil consumption issues are kept to a minimum although I’ve not seen any issues as regards this on the TU3 engine

What do you mean no kick down. Sorry just not familiar with that term. Also the issue is I only work 2 miles from home so twice a day there will be a short journey but I’m at 500 miles just from coming home from dealership and driving for a few days after so hopefully in out of the worst of the bedding?

Lockdown is pressing the accelerator right to the floor , you’ll feel a “notch” as you do so and the gearbox will change down 1 or 2 gears
