does US X1 windshield have a small line with "AS-1" printed on it? (like on windshields on Mercedes windshields in the US)

I was going to look for it during the test drive, but forgot to look.

Thanks!

No, it doesn’t. I checked on mine and these are the only ink marks on the windshield (lower left corner).

AS/1(or AS-1) line is usually used to determine how far window tint film can go on the upper 5 or 6 inches of the front windshield. On Mercedes and Lexus, it's printed on their from the manufacturer of the windshields.

The one thing I don't like about BMW is the stippling around the edges of the windows. Makes it a pain in the ass to squeeze out all the air around the stippling when tinting the windows. I'm gonna see if I can slide my tint guy some extra money to put the work in and get clean edges. Planning on 35% all around (with the OEM privacy glass in the rear, the back half should get nice and dark), and whatever is legal on the windshield (I think 70% or so)

I've had my last 5 cars/SUVs tinted at the same tint shop for over 22 years. They never had a problem dealing with that. I remember watching them do it on my Mercedes E wagon, which also had those tiny dots all over the edges of window glass. They used heat gun and lots of patience. It always came out looking great, even after years of being under the brutal sun and cold winters.
