V1 vs passport 9500i/ix?

I'm going to be getting a new radar detector soon but i'm still a little indecisive between the two. what are the pros and cons of each and which one is generally the better everyday cruiser?

i have both v1 and 9500ix and i think that the v1 is helpful with the arrows.. but the 9500ix has gps so you can store locations, and has speedcams and redlight cams stored in, the v1 has to many false alerts... both are great radars i would go with the 9500ix

I also have tried both (actually still running an 8500) and I live right down the street from both companies! Mike Valentine used to work at Cincinnati Microwave (now Escort).

I also liked the arrows at first, but really once you understand radar usage, they are not necessary as a warning is a warning. And therein lies the other issue with the Valentine. It is quite sensitive (a good thing), but falses so often, you learn to ignore it and then what good is it? Well, you then HAVE to use/rely on looking at the arrows. The 8500 (with xmode off especially) falses far less and of course the 9500ix would false hardly at all, making it far more "useful" as an alert device and not just a device for pointing out all radar locations

The $399 Valentine One is better at detecting radar and laser and it is $50-$100 cheaper than the Escort 9500i or Escort 9500ix.
