Parrot 3000 evolution + parrot multican in UK
I've done a search on this and got a little confused.......
If I decide to get the parrot 3000 evolution by itself (no multican), do I have to also buy an additional iso cable or something similar to connect it to my professional non-logic7 non-idrive system? If I bought it WITH the multican, do I still need to buy an extra iso cable, or do all the cables I need come with the parrot multican adaptor? Does multican stop you using the steering wheel buttons for skipping cd tracks/radio etc? Do ALL the e90's work with the multican system (there are different interfaces to choose from, but I'm guessing some of these are for older model 3 series...?) Mine is a 55 plate. Also, does anyone know how long the cable is between the controller and the electrics box of the parrot 3000? If I get it, I'm thinking of mounting the controller on the panel just rear of the front coutesy/map reading lights on the roof panel. This panel is blank on mine apart from a couple of air vents as I have no sun roof so it seems a good place to put it.... Thanks in advance.... Last edited by DAN; 01-04-2009 at 06:18 PM.. |

Perhaps someone at least knows the model names of the adaptor harness that I need?
Bmw02tel or BMW06tel? http://www.justcarkits.co.uk/acatalog/BMW.html The 06 model says it has an ignition sense with it.... do I need this? Help! |

Dan, if you ask this question in the UK sub-forum, you should get a better answer as specifications, adaptors, etc. vary quite markedly between the two countries.
I have a Parrot 3100 and if it is similar, it comes with cables to mute the standard stereo speakers but a connect2 cable would be needed to allow the phone button to work on the steering wheel. It's quite expensive for the sake of one button and is a 'mare to squeeze into the space behind the head unit which already is stuffed because of the Parrot cables. |

if it helps, my parrot CK3200 was installed with two not used ISO connectors and god knows how much coiled up wiring. I have removed everything unused from the parrot connector (tiny screwdriver and lifted the pins out).

You can use the Connects2 Par006 adaptor for parrot 3000 evo. It is plug in install.
Look at www.connects2.com |
