328i Oil starvation at track?
I would like to take my soon to be purchased 2009 328i to the track for a few driver's ed events (BMWCCA & PCA). I have an older track car but it's not been very reliable lately so I want to take the 328.
Are there any known oil control issues on the N52 engine? What if I decide to run R-compound tires? If there is a risk of oil starvation in long sweepers or other conditions, what modifications are required? These are all questions for a street car that will be stock (will not be converted to track only or race car), but will get stickier rubber first and then perhaps some suspension mods in the future. Anyone in the know, your advice is appreciated. |

E90 328i ran at infineon and thunderhill with no issues, all stock.
I haven't heard of or experienced any oil issues with 328 but it isn't clear to me if this is because there is no problem or if there are just too few 328 used at DEs to identify issues |
