Do you have 18" wheels?

Then you don't have an oil cooler.

The 18 inch wheels cost $600
You get : - wheels - oil cooler - raised top speed limiter. What BMW tells you that you get : - wheels If you didn't know that you need the wheels and assumed that the oil cooler comes with the sport package (or like me, you were told that ALL 335s are now coming with oil coolers), you now have to spend $1500 at least, just in parts, to retrofit. (+ labor) If I had known the wheels get you a cooler, I would have just spent the money on them. At the time I was thinking : "why spend 600 bucks on ONLY a set of wheels, when I'm gonna buy aftermarket wheels anyways???" -scheherazade |

Yeah I spent the 600 for a set of rims i didnt want just for the oil cooler. If anyone wants to trade their 17" with all seasons for my 18" let me know.

I'm not so sure that this is true. I did not get the 18" wheels in my 2008 6MT 335xi w/ sport, and I did get the oil cooler (near as I can tell, I've looked at pictures and compared to my car). Maybe getting the manual is what made the difference.

It might and it's 100% counterintuitive to common logic, coz if anything, the AT needs the oil cooler more than the MT

Nope, I was mistaken, I guess I don't have it. I looked again at the pictures, and realized I was looking at the wrong thing (if you look straight through behind the passenger tire, there's something that looks like a radiator, but I think it's just "firewall"). The actual cooler should be next to the brake duct, and I don't have anything there.

The 18" rims got me the oil cooler and higher limiter. Stupid part is I got AWD for all season usability and the 18" rims comes with summer only tires.

Could very well be. I'm kinda disappointed for the no oil cooler. I too thought you got it with the sport package (as well as the higher rev limiter).

Ha that was my dilemma EXACTLY but I went ahead and ordered the 18" wheels to get the oil cooler/limiter raised and will just buy SNOW tires fo her....
