How much are the plastic wheel caps on the 18-inch wheels?

How much are the plastic wheel caps on the 18-inch wheels?

does it have its own separate part number ?

seems like it's a very good choice for folks who drive in the city and have to parallel park all the time. wheel scratches are inevitable, so the wheel cap being so easy to take off is probably way cheaper than replacing/repairing the wheel?

Thanks!

I noticed that the wheel cap came off at 00:15 into the collision test:

It's an interesting question. Do we know the availability or cost of any U11 X1 accessories yet? All weather mats; cargo tray; etc?

when I went to the test drive, I stopped at the parts dept and asked about the all weather mats...

they quoted me $96. the parts guy claimed that it was definitely for the 2023 X1, but I'm not so sure. They didn't have it in stock.

I normally just get it from companies like WeatherTech. However, they told me that they didn't have the mats for the new X1 yet.

When I asked the BMW parts dept guy about the mats, he went out to look at the VIN# of the demo that I had just driven. I assumed that his computer told him that the mats would fit that VIN#. He did say that if I ordered it and they didn't fit, they would just take it back.

I like the pic of those all weather mats, but the pics of this car on Long Island show all weather mats with a different pattern (not as nice IMO):

the parts guy at BMW sent me the link to that picture, which was on BMW's own website... while their computer may say that it fits the 2023 X1, I get the feeling that it's actually for the 2022 X1 or other BMWs. (just a generic photo)

Those pix are totally inaccurate. The 3rd pic are the exact A/W mats I have in my 2014 328.

I noticed that too. I bet they're just placeholders for now, until they get updated photos. I have a friend who can get me a discount on any BMW accessories, but I'm hesitant to order them before I get the car. What I really am hoping for is someone designs a retractable cargo cover. I'm not a big fan of the current hard flip up one.

So far I can see 6 rubber cargo mats (basic, X-Line, Sport each in adjustable rear seats or non adjustable rear seats), 3 different floor mats(basic, X Line, Sport), tablet holders, a rear fold down tray, cargo net, fold out rear bumper protector, LED door projector, key fob cover (iX key fob cover but supposedly fits the new X1 key), plus all the usual universal accessories. Unfortunately, none of them that I find have U11 X1 specific photos.

can't find an answer from any U.S. BMW dealer parts departments... so i asked a co-worker's sister to ask a BMW dealership in Germany. She was quoted around 25 euros for each of those wheel cover/insert. I guess that's very reasonable.

using the 36-13-5-A1F-C75 part number, I found it at a few US BMW dealers... but prices are much higher. ($47 or more each)

Standard 18" wheels have inserts around the outside of the rim. Sorta hubcaps I guess.

they may be unattractive, but for those living in the city and parallel park every single day, it may be the perfect solution.... much cheaper than repairing/replacing wheels with unavoidable curb rashes. less than $50... repair is at least $100... replacement wheel $400+

please post a pic when you get it... thanks! :

I normally would order online to save $20... but with a brand new vehicle and a new trunk mat, it's much easier to return it to the local dealer parts dept, if the fitment isn't quite right.

Yeah but BMW doesn't want you to have a cheaper solution. They want to sell you a wheel and tire package....

Will do.

But you won't save $20 by ordering online -- you have to pay shipping. To my zip code in Penna is $21 - so it ends up being more.

I'm hoping Weathertech or another company comes out with aftermarket alternatives. I haven't ordered any mats yet because I want to see more photos of the product first before making a decision, but they're pretty crucial since I sometimes work in mud and sand.

I spoke to the rep at Weathertech last month. Below is their reply:

"I checked our system and development has not begun on the CargoLiner for that new model. Once that process begins, it would be roughly 14-16 weeks before a part would be purchasable. If you have not done so already, we recommend signing up on our new product update page. You would receive a notification once the item is available for purchase. I will include a link below for reference. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us"

Ahhh, the pitfalls of ordering a brand new model and being one of the early adopters.
