any dealerships offering no markup and base MF?

Hello,
does anyone know any dealership offering no markup and base MF on the X1's?

I am interested in ordering an X1 with an MSRP of $46,350, but so far I have only found one willing to order at MSRP but with max MF.

Thanks,
Paul

I only went to my local dealer here in PA - straight MSRP. I didn't call any other dealers, but the Mini and Volvo dealers I spoke to were also MSRP, so I'm confident other local BMW dealers are the same. I'm not leasing, so I don't know about MF.

Would you be willing to PM me the name of the dealership?

I contacted one in GA who wanted to tack on $4k worth of "upgrades", just ridiculous.

With how few units that are going to be available in the very short future, a marked up money factor at msrp this month might be as good as a base money factor at msrp in the next few months

I just sent you the info. I've read some dealers are jacking up prices or flat out refusing to sell for out of state buyers. But it sounds like you are having issues in-state AND out-of-state.

I went through the Costco auto buying program. Entered my info and the local BMW dealer called me the next morning... at 7:30AM.(something that I always told my salespeople to NEVER do back when I ran the sales office for a small company.... made customers think that we were too eager and desperate )

Anyway, I had a chat with the "designated" Costco salesperson at the dealership. Since I'm really busy this and next week, I plan to visit the dealer after that. I haven't even seen the X1 in person yet. Anyway, he assured me that their "partnership" with Costco meant that I would get "way below MSRP" pricing, even on the new X1. When I asked what that meant, I was told that it would be at least $1000. He also said that they could see if something could be worked out to get me that recent college graduate discount on top of that.(my daughter just received her PhD degree less than a year ago) Not really sure why, be he made it seem like that the Costco auto program was some sort of "secret society" and told me to come in so he could show me the "exclusive" pricing on paper.(claiming that it could not be revealed over the phone) It was kind of surreal... because he even asked me to take a picture of my Costco card to verify my membership number, which he already had because Costco sent all of my info to him. Will see what happens when I actually get there.

I did tell him the exact options/packages and interior color that I wanted(non-negotiable, except for exterior color). Not sure if that was wise.

Looking at one for my wife. There are brokers offering 6% off MSRP on orders, at least in the Midwest region. I'd try one of them and see what they can come up with.

I've always used the Marketplace section of Lease Hacker. You can filter by your area and see what's available:

My dealer gave me a small discount off of MSRP when I ordered my X1 last month.
With market slowing, interest rising, and inventory slowly increasing, dealers are finally discounting prices and may get better for consumers short term. My Lexus (and even Toyota) dealers that I was talking to last month are sending me emails with discount offers now.

is it my imagination or does that website look like the craigslist for hungry car salespersons/dealers/brokers?

are the contacts on that website trustworthy?

I did try costco, but apparently they could not locate a dealership in my area and they want me to get a Chrysler 300 instead

It's a legit site. I used it to get 10% of MSRP on my M340 back in 2021.

Most of the brokers have their own sites that link out to.

It's legit. I used to rely on their lease calculator before I was in finance so I'd have a rough idea on lease payments.

Agreed. Their calculator is really helpful to get an idea on the payments.

Here in Honolulu, there was absolutely no hassle. MSRP (plus doc. fees), literally built my BMW on the BMWUSA website and said there you go.
