Mineral white, with red/black interior, m sport, premium, remote start, heated steering/seats, sport seats, Eucalyptus trim.

It'll likely be next week before I can spend any time with it. I had a chance to test drive it for a few minutes but my techs are keeping it till they can get the navigation done.

Digital key should come with convenience/premium package.

I assume that you can start the car with the digital key inside the car....

but what about using iPhones as the key? I know it's possible to open/close the doors, but can the iPhone be used to start the X1?

With the Digital Key Plus with UWA, you should be able to completely ditch the key fob, your iPhone can be used to start, unlock, and lock your car without having to take it out of your pocket.

So tonight I removed the digital key from the app on my phone. Since I picked up my car on Monday nite, the battery on my phone has been draining a lot faster than normal - I'm assuming the digital key is constantly sending a signal and affecting the battery life of my phone.

They do also give you a card key.

What kind of phone do you have? I think at least on the iPhone, the UWA chip isn't always searching and transmitting from what I've read. Most of what I've been able to find on other forums/threads most of the phones with drain issues have been running android. That's pretty disappointing if it does cause a significant battery drain though, but I'd hope maybe a phone software update would take care of it.

I believe so, I haven't received my car yet so I'd have to wait to test. The dealer demo I looked at is an X-Line with premium package, but it doesn't have the kick tailgate option.

I have iPhone 12. I can't say for sure that's causing the battery drain - but it's a huge coincidence. If, now that I've deleted the Digital Key, the battery is still draining, I'll add it back.

FYI (pixel 6 pro here)...if you're using your mobile, the phone actually needs to be "tapped" against the door handle to unlock/lock the vehicle (it's nfc after all, just like pinpads in stores). Once in the vehicle, the mobile needs to be placed in the wireless holder to start the vehicle. Thereafter, you can remove the phone if needed once you're on your way.

If using the nfc card, same process to lock/unlock the vehicle, but the card needs to stay in the wireless tray to start as well as drive off.

Yes, you're right. I never carry the key fob with me and the car locks, unlocks and starts with my iPhone 12 in the pocket.

Yes, it works. I also have my apple watch configured with the Digital Key. Don't know if that plays any role.
