Stop sale remedies

Our first unit that'll land at the dealership has been updated to show the recalls all having a remedy. If there's other stop sales that this unit doesn't have, I can't speak for those, but this is cause for celebration.

My order came out of production yesterday and according to the BMW Recall Tool the active TSBs were addressed during production and the vehicle is clear of any known issues.

I also searched on a known VIN from our local dealership and it looks like that vehicle that is currently at port still has outstanding service actions that need to be addressed.

My X1, still at the port, shares three of these codes. But the first one in my list is for safety but doesn't have a description. Any ideas what it could be? And if it too might have a remedy?

Looks like there's currently no remedy. I can't imagine the remedy will take too long on this based on what it says the issue is, but I've been wrong before.

Thanks for posting this information. It is good news. I am guessing it will take them a while to clear the backlog of vehicles stuck in Germany and shipping ports but there is hope that things will get moving soon.

So realistically we’re looking around end of November/Early December at the earliest?

Great news, but no '23 X1 can be delivered in the US until the CARB/EPA approvals come through. Hopefully that's soon!

Do you have a source for the CARB/EPA approvals? I'd like to read through it as I couldn't really find anything about it. I would have thought they've already got the approvals before allowing sales.

My X1 is at the VPC in New Jersey. Just checked and three of my stop sales are closed, and the one still open is the spark plugs issue, which has a remedy. I'm expecting it to be closed in the next day or two and be put on the transport trailer up to Massachusetts in time for delivery on Saturday!

Wonder if the one at my dealer has any? How do y’all check that?

What was your final build date? Mine completed production on 9/20 and is still in Germany. CA is of little help.

It was completed on Sep. 15. It started at the port of (apparently) Zeebrugge for about a week before catching a ride across the sea. It was only after I tracked the ship that I learned it had departed from Zeebrugge. I thought it was in Bremerhaven.

As of yesterday all of my recalls were performed and now my X1 is in its way to the dealership. Shouldn’t be long now

Are you at the port in New Jersey? Has your status flipped back to In Transit?
As of this morning all my recalls were closed too, so now I'm just checking constantly to find out when it'll show In Transit.

Yes, NYC/NJ port. My status changed as of this morning and my recalls were completed as of yesterday morning. I think worst case for you, is that yours will be heading out tomorrow
