+2 for Passport 9500i
Hey guys... I just got the Passport 9500i from the escort website just to try it out for 30 days... today was the second day I've had it, and I drove from San Antonio to Houston with it (3-hour drive).
I was a bit worried because for the first 1.5 hours, there was nothing... no beeps or detected signals AT ALL... But then it scared the $|-||+ out of me when it finally did go off... I slowed down, and what do you know -- about 30 seconds later, I see a cop on the side of the road camped out waiting for someone to speed by. After that, another hour of NOTHING... and then I was following a truck as I entered the Sealy area and he was going pretty fast, so I was a good 10 seconds behind him... the radar goes off again, so I let off the gas and slow down... 10 seconds later, I see a cop pulling him over... I used to own a V1... and I do miss the arrows oh so much... but the passport 9500i is DEAD silent compared to the V1... my V1 was going off ALL the time... which some people like... I do admit that the 9500i makes me nervous because it's SO quiet... but it proved itself in this road test... 2 for 2 so far!!

It was the same for me when I first got the detector. I was worried it wasnt "working" since it was so quite.
The GPS feature makes it well worth it. Locking out all those false alarms is a big benefit to me. Stay safe out there.
