Both of you with no mods means it will be close. If you are both AT, then very very close. (assuming straight line drag racing, not street course racing)

I believe those at 300hp/320tq and run to 60mph in the mid to high 5 seconds whereas I've seen the stock 335 0-60times published anywhere from 4.8-5.2 sec.
I heard that the 335 has no trouble beating the 05 GTs, esp if both are AT. |

Yup, can be close... If you don't botch the launch should be easy...

335i by half a car for sure, just put the AT in DS mode and let it rip thru the gears

My buddy has an '05 GT with headers, full exhaust, intake, and tune, and he was just barely faster when I was stock. (no longer) So close in fact that most of the time it was decided by who got the jump.

I just ran a 1/8 mile against a GT. My time was better both runs, but the launch makes a big difference in who finishes first. Our RT's were around even the first time, and it was CLOSE, but the second time, i reacted faster, and one by at least 2 car lengths (this is 1/8 mile and i was that ahead).
Note: I have the E93, so im a lot heavier than a bunch of you, and i am also automatic. Also, i had one of my buddies with me, so that's another 150LBS, and i had a half a tank of gas, and my trunk was full of crap. You shouldn't have a problem beating him! (is 06 the newer body style? because this one was) |

Thanks for the info people,
Friend drove along as a passenger and already said his mustang didn't feel as quick. He posted the same question on a mustang forum and there was a lot of respect for the 335 so they to know who's the boss |
