Pricing advice?

So I've become obsessed with the new X1, and I'm super excited because this will be our first BMW. My question is, if it has a starting price just a hair under $40k, is it possible to get it fairly loaded, maybe even with the M Sport package, for around $50k?

I'm eagerly anticipating the configurator...

I think $55k is more realistic if you want it fully loaded. The current X1 is $50k with M sport and most other options and it is missing a # of things the new U11 X1 has available. Plus the U11 is around $1k or $2k more to start. So based on that I'm guessing a fully loaded M sport version is going to be around $55k MSRP.

Pre COVID you could negotiate about 10% off MSRP for most BMW, but now it seems getting MSRP is considered a decent deal.

Canadian configurator looks like $60k+ for loaded version. Yikes. 60k...lots of tech my wife will never use.

I just built the one we want and it's $58k Canadian, which today amounts to $44k USD. But I'm sure that won't be the case when they put up the US configurator...

I'll have to see if it makes sense to import the car. It's only six hours to beautiful Quebec City!

I thought you couldn't import or export a BMW. Either way, good luck!

They still haven't released the 2023 X1 configurator, so to get an idea of how much building one might cost, I built a 2023 X2, with most everything we want and it came in on target. Was that wise to do, or do you think the add-ons on the new X1 will be way more?

2023 X1 starts at right around $40k, if you pick every single option it's likely going to be around $52-$55k.

Configurator is live. M-Sport with all options including Frozen Pure Gray Metallic paint is exactly $50,000 + shipping.

Right now the early builds are missing a couple of option packages. Once all the packages become available, a fully loaded one should be in the $52-$55k range.

I am curious to see if we get a ability to add driving assistant via the connected drive store akin to the heated seats. In the UK store they allow iX and i7 models to add the features via the store, both ACC standalone or the full on Driving Assistant abilities, I am very curious if we have the hardware coming in our cars and maybe BMW just had to use different sensors or cameras and they need time to add programming into to account for the different sourced hardware.

I don't see the moon roof delete as an option in the configurator.

Looks like you can’t not have it unless you legit do not equip any of the bigger option packages. Fingers crossed it doesn’t have leaks or fitment issues.
