He didnt heel toe downshift even once...he did left foot brake a few times...probably trying to keep the turbo spooled up and in the power band.

I suspect rallye driving is different from track course driving, where you don't need to slow down enough but mostly drifting around the corners. sliding, whereas track driving is the opposite with grip being the goal!
