For those of you who have driven Laguna..what were your lap times
Without chip tuning..I was doing consistent 1:50s on monday..might have even done a few 1:49.X times. Now when I get my Dinan tune back..I am hoping for a couple more seconds.

The first and only time I went to LS was in November of 1999. It was a driving school by Touring Car Club Association.
It was in a stock 1998 Integra GSR..stock tire, brake, and suspension.. 2:02 was the time back than. LS is a great track but just too far, 5.5hr away.. maybe 6-6.5 if you are towing.. |

Don't know but will know next time if there are some clean laps. NBD
I read where a stock 335 does it in 1:49 on some site that publishes track times. That's super fast with the run flats and stock suspension. |

Fastestlaps.com shows the following: http://www.fastestlaps.com/car458da72e81532.html I know I could improve lots of places...and get more balls to take T6 and T9 faster.

I also feel like T6 is always slower than I could have done it. Need to work on that. |

it looks like there's some relative elevation change through t6. Like the track falls away from you at turn it, banked at apex, then falls away at track out? Where do people go off most?

Most people do off throttle oversteer since they early apex..and then they hit the wall after they rotate about 180 degrees. I have seen like 5 porsches do this here.

S4, Do you think that this is an issue with a an E92? Oversteer isn't a very natural state for our cars to achieve.
BTW. Turn 6 is no big thing as long as you stay inside your envelope. No bravado and listen to the instructor; you're fine. I'm no great shakes and I've been to about 30 track days and have never even spun. People have spun in front of me and gone all which way but a little vision and half a brain meant no event for me. I can also do a 2:02 at Infineon even without a clean lap and on street tires (never seen times at Laguna). I only say that to evidence that if taken at small steps with some thoughtfulness, spinning and crashing is not a mandatory part of HPDEs and you can gain some reasonable speed. We're not Nicki Lauda (does that show my age?). Be safe and don't lift or brake or shift mid turn. |

Not 50 but almost. Jut loving F1 from an early age. I could have gone all Ronnie Peterson on you or better yet, Jack Brabham. Nick, Definitely but I thought I would talk about how easy it is to navigate Laguna if you choose to use half of your brain. BTW. Aren't you showing up or the Jan. 16 event? |

The best I could manage during a Speedventures event was 1:47.xx with no traffic, but more consistently in 1:48.xx range.

I know you are at least 1 second or more faster than me! How do I know, because I was following you the one time we had the chance to drive together!

Hmmmm...1:50. I think I can. I don't have the luxury of chipping and BBK but the 335 isn't gonna be what's holding me back. Harold, If I do a 1:50 in Jan. sell me the wishbones at half price. If not then I'll just buy them. Come on. It'll be fun. |

If you do 1:50, I'll sell then to you at my cost. If not, they will be at around 15% off of retail. I'll have a set with me on Jan. 16th. Harold |

Down to consistant 1:45 with the Pilot Sport Cups. Will be trying the Nitto NT-O1 next as they are cheaper and a harder compound(hopefully last longer). I noticed that traction with the Pilot Sport Cups would go down halfway through a session. I am currenty running shaved Toyo RA-1's. They are harder than the Pilot Sport Cups and have consistant traction throughout a session but do not have the same level of grip as my times are 1 to 1.5 seconds slower.
