Best way to launch (normal, dtc or off) MT

Hey guys i have a 335i mt. and yes i have searched beforehand but want to make sure im getting the information correct.

When Lauching your car from a stop(either at the track or street). What is the best mode to have your car in?
i have lauched having the car normal (dsc) the traction control light comes on and the car "lags"(lauching at around 2k). So it it better to push the dtc button once? or have it fully off by holding the dtc off? for making the car getting the car faster to 60 and beyond.
To sum it all up with mode is better for lauching and getting better times in the quarter or on the street. ?

Thanks !

Best way?

Probably with the CDV valve delete (removing the clutch delay valve).

Also, yes, hit the DTC button.

Since you have a 2008 car (I assume), you still have the E-diff (pseudo LSD) no matter wether DSC/DTC is turned off or on, so you can try that if you want.

For most people, DTC mode is best.

Push DTC button once.

Hold revs around 2k-2.5k.

Negative ghost rider.

You want to bounce the revs between 2-3k feathering the clutch and release it on the upswing.

Acceleration doesn't have the concept of momentum, so I am not sure how this would possibly be better than just holding the revs at 2-3k, unless that is just to make sure your foot is applying gas as you drop the clutch.

Experiment. Practice. Eventually you should do best with DTC completely off (hold button for 5 Mississippis...)

Get an LSD. Light wheels & non-rfts.

You will get tickets for stoplight drags. Be sensible.

The electronic e-dff works fine for me. This car doesn't really need a real LSD on the street.
