Passport BMW - Jim Redden
For those of you who worked with him - he quit and became a real estate agent. Too bad - he was a great sales guy to work with.

Rob, yeah I found that out some days ago. His replacement is Peter Brizan, I spoke to him and asked him flat out if he can deliver the same price, attention and service as Jim and he said yes. He mentioned he spent some years in Germany and has some contacts there (in the industry). That was in response to some questions I had on the upcoming e92.
He mentioned, they used to work together (3 of them) in the internet sales office so he knows the drill. Well...FYI

Now I know why Jim never responded to my emails.
I then contacted Dave Myers and I was impressed with his response time to my emails. It took an afternoon exchanging emails to seal the deal. I'm now dealing with Greg Parker for the delivery of the car. I'm a bit disappointed with his response time to my emails.

Man that sucks. Jim was great. I was looking forward to seeing him in 2 years and 9 months. I guess all those $500 over deals didn't pay da billz

Yes, that really sucks because I was planning to purchase my first BMW from him. In my opinion, he didn't really pick an optimal time to become a real estate agent, but if that's what he wants, more power to him. He's obviously a good salesman and I'm sure he'll be successful.
I hope you guys please keep the board posted about what you think of his replacement (or any others that may step in to fill his shoes as the clear favorite among DC-area e90post-ers). I'm sure I'm not the only one in this area who will be looking to buy a new Bimmer sometime this year, and I want my first BMW experience to be a good one. |

Joe Long is a good guy too. He's still there. I sell BMWs (Audi/Mercedes/Porsche/etc.) at Tischer and he always gives me a car when I need it for a customer.

I highly recommend Yves Badji, who was my salesman at Passport. Got the same great deal from him through email. I'm very satisfied with his professionalism and service. I think he's going on vacation for a couple weeks this month but if you plan to buy from Passport this summer, I'm sure he can hook you up. PM me if you want his contact info.

I purchased from Jim at the their regular $500 over invoice. The deal was easy peasy. Yves took over last week and so far it's been pretty seamless. I pick up the 330 at the PDC on 5/18.

IT's Me... - Jim Redden
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to say thank you for everyone's support. There are some great people at Passport and they can get your cars taken care of and purchased.... As for the deals that I could do.... Its up to you As you have read, I have gone into real estate full time... (My wife and I are doing this as a team). So if anyone needs help in Virginia, (buying a home / selling a home / buing a 2nd home / vacation home), just let me know. This is a forum for BMW's(which I still have a passion for) so I am going to respect it and not hound everyone.... But I will give the same kind of service to my new customers... My contact info: Work - 703-971-5000 x18 Cell - 703-217-2142 email - Jim.Redden@Century21.com It was great working with all of you, Jim. |
