Debadge looks clean, how come you didn't go wider? 8.5 x 18, 9.5 x 18, needs to be lowered.

The width & ET combination looked OK to me, the wheels cleanly fill up the fenders, and I didn't have a lot of choice from my local dealer anyway...
Lowering ... indeed a good idea for the future.

I am also leaning to 18" CSL but going with replica.

Do all the wheels pics without lowering look like that due to picture angle or tire size?

My stock wheels and tires look acceptable without lowering.
I dont want to lower the car.

Yeah I don't know why there's so much gap on Papsy's car. Do non-Ms have that much more ride height? Maybe his sidewalls are too short.

I have 18" CSLs and there doesn't seem to be nearly as much wheel gap:

Your car looks great with 18's.
What tire size and which wheels are those exactly?

The tire and wheel specs are: rear, 275/35/18 on 18x9.5 +22, front 245/40/18 on 18x8.5 +40. Tires are Nitto NT-01s, wheels are Velocity CSL reps.

More proof that 18s can look ok on these cars (IMO, at least):

I wish more r-compound tires came in 19" sizes...

Well if you had 19's and the same outer diameter tire you'd have the same wheel gap, and more disc brake gap.

I think 18s are perfect for living with. I also think the camera flash has a lot to do with the gap being so apparent.
