Being NASA, I would suggest you build a cage....on the outside of the car. You know, to keep damage to a minimum when the redfaced Corvette driver tries to trade paint.

Ok ok, maybe that's a little discriminatory.

There are red faced Mustang Cobra drivers, too.

Edit: oh, that say Infenion. I'm at Button this weekend with NASA.

i'm too tired to post pics, a bunch of cars got stuffed into the concrete, including a few T10 incident, after it started raining.

The rain came in as a mist during the 3rd session and it was ridiculously slick. you would think at this point people would take it easy.. but nooooo. people driving off line at close to dry speeds to pass. total darwinism at its finest. i could not believe the lack of self preservation some drivers exhibited

but that's their problem. i managed to get a nice bubble for myself w/o traffic for 3 of the 4 sessions

My buddy was out there this weekend I think. Red Golf with hand controls as he's in a wheel chair.

I think he was in my session, I saw someone in a wheel chair at the driver's meetings.

Also, I think one of the members of his friend group had a black honda civic EF hatch (number 1) who got a 1 session penalty after the 1st session for doing 'bad things' and then got towed off the track in his next session out (mechanical issue?) Yikes

When in Rome???

I was at buttonwillow this weekend with socal nasa and I went straight off at turn 1. In the first session of day 2.

Also, I nearly did the 2 off at the bus stop exit which is notoriously dirty and dangerous.

I did a NASA event at Laguna in the rain. You'd think there was a free pizza and trophy waiting for you at the finish line the way some of these guys drove. Needles to say, the tow vehicle spent a good part of the day pulling vettes out of the gravel.

Did someone dive bomb you, cook the turn in and force you off?

I'm not very familiar with his group of friends, just know him... Pretty sure it's the same guy, not too many people doing HPDEs in hand controls.

After doing the Audi and BMW club events partially in the rain at Infineon the last four weeks..I told you so. Exit to T2 was slippery...braking into T3...mid T3 going up the hill...exit to T3...that exit berm is way slippery..braking into T4....exiting the long way around T7. Exit to T8B was slippery...as was the exit to T10 and T11. With both events..we had ZERO damage on day one..when it was raining. Day two...well...in the dry..we had a guy hit the right side wall exiting T10.

I officially have no comment.

I was definitely expecting slick conditions, but I was surprised by the variability in traction even in the same corner. turn in at T4 for example felt like there was an ice patch just past the turn in, then it became normal wet road again

I missed my WRX in the wet =)

Sorry I stole your incar setup. My phone battery was spent when I woke on Sunday. I posted up a 2:18.7 on Sunday. Much better than my 2:21 from Saturday. Watching the video... a clean lap is impossible to find.

My off was me being stupid. First time I saw clean air after getting pointed by by some really slow miatas. I forgot to push the mental reset from "hunting" to "farming". Much more speed that I had all session and broke too late. Very gentle into the dirt at 1. Re-entered at 3 after building a sand castle.

And, my almost bus stop moment was me trying for more curb on the left and more speed on exit. The stock suspension takes some curbs nicely, other, not so well.
