Does any one know when the dealer incentive/allowance is usually available for a new model year? Looking to order the MY 22 soon.

For example right now MY 21 330i has $2000 APR credit and $500 loyalty, can I expect those to carry over to MY 22 when order opens up?

I ordered MY 21 back in Aug. of 2020 and incentive kicked in for the MY 21 just when I received it in Oct. of 2021. Incentives usually don't kick in for a new model year right away until they become more available later in the year.

Thanks for the answer! In this case were you qualified for the incentive when you picked up the car in Oct 2020?

Or were you out of luck because your order was placed before the incentive was published?

Any incentive that is active when you take delivery is applied. When I ordered there were nothing on a new MY car and when my car came in on 9/26 I took a chance and told my SA I will pick up my car on 10/1 (wanted to wait and see if any incentive kick in usually 1st of the month) I got lucky and got an extra $2000 off.

When the incentives, they are from BMW not the dealer, start for a new MY depends on various factors such as model, years into production, previous year inventory etc. Some incentives (military and probably loyalty) should be available for August while others such as the APR credit may take a month or two.

We also have to keep in mind that these are unprecedented times in regard to demand, parts shortages, options being deleted, etc. so that may come not play also.

When you fill out the credit app you lock in the rates (APR or MF/RV) and incentives that are currently available for 60 days (90 on West Coast and some other states). If you do it before the incentives are available then there would be nothing to lock. The lock is a no harm lock so if the incentives are better at delivery (or any intervening month) you can take them.
