***My E36 M3 at WILLOW SPRINGS(Big Track)***
I just found these pictures from last summer of my 1995 E36 M3 at Willow Springs. It is a huge track at 2.5 miles long and the front straight alone is super long. Found the pics on an old CD of my back up pics. Had the time of my life on that track. Hit about 135+ on the front straight and room for more. It is by far the most entertaining/adrenaline rush anyone could ever ask for. Going back to Willow Springs "Big Track" at the end of this month.
I remember getting a ride in my instructor Jack Olsen's full race P-Car and could NOT believe the things that guy could do around the track. He does 1:29's around Willow Springs big track, which is INSANE. He has a 1972 911 RSR replica with a 3.6 liter engine from a 1993 Porsche C2. Keep in mind this is on street DOT race tires, he literally drives his car to the track. Here he is in action.... Here are some pics of my car in action and the Porsche I got a ride in. |

Been to big willow a few times...its ok..but you really gotta try tracks like Laguna and Infineon. I was at Infineon this past weekend with the BMW club. We had fun..even in the rain.
Big Willow just has that long straight..T2 is fun...that buttonhook thing is kinda boring..I like the turn right out of the buttonhook...T8 can be scary fast..and so can T9 if you hold too much speed from T8. Glad you enjoyed it. I have been tracking since 1997.

The buttonhook thingy is where most of your pics were taken...the "n" shaped turn with the grandstands around it.
