Has anybody use LED bulbs for Brake and Signals?

Does it trigger the check bulbs light?

It probably will, not sure bout your car but mine came with the Phillips Silvervision blinker bulbs so no egg yolk look, i have no complaints. But to answer your question it will more then likely throw a code. Even changing the tiny bayonet bulb that lights the angel eye ring to LED threw a code.

Thanks for your input but does anybody have them in the brake lights. They are quite pricey and I don't want to spend the money if it triggers a bulb light out.

So the reason you want to go LED is for a brighter stop light ? Seems pretty excessive I mean BMW designed the car to meet or exceed safety standards I think the money would be better spent elsewhere. But that's just my .02

Actually I have the BMW clear lens kit 63-21-0-151-626 but the rear brake light bulbs that came with has the pearl effect and give it a green glow through the lens. I want it to be clear.

I'm having a hard time picturing the clear kit but the brake light bulb should be a red bulb unless its behind red plastic in which it would be a clear bulb. Not sure how it came out green? In that case an LED would be your best bet for a clear replacement. However, do some research on which "towers" are the best because the older LED replacements weren't that bright. But then again they use to only have like 24-30 LEDs

You see the green reflections coming from the bulbs?

Ah I see what you mean now, that's odd that it reflects green like that. Not familiar with the pre-facelift tails so I dont know exactly how many bulbs or where they go. But back to your original question you will more then likely need some sort of resistors to prevent the bulb out warning.

Bought some LED bulbs and tried it. It doesn't work. Don't know why.. maybe needed some type of resistor.
