Auto Club Famoso Drag Races Nov 8th-9th!!

I'll be there on Saturday the 8th, and was curious if anyone wanted to meet me there.
It's the fastest 1/4 mile strip in Southern California, so you should get some pretty good times.

This event is a bit different than the other events that they offer.
Usually, payment is accepted at the gate when you arrive, but I'm thinking that this is a private event since there is a form that you need to fill out and payment needs to be sent before you go.

I would say its not as fast as Sacramento, because we don't get those nice cold temps at near sea level. However, it may be quicker, if it is prepped properly.
I will try and go on Saturday. I just sent my payment in. They will have payment at the gate also. Supposedly they have about 200 people so far signed up. They said BMWs are totally welcome. Hope it doesn't get too crowded. And lately it has been warm, mid 80's and dusty conditions. If Saturday weather conditions are terrible, maybe I will try Sunday. I hate dust storms!

Who said anything about Sacramento?
I said Southern Cali, not Cali.

Sacramento IS faster than Fomosa, but Famosa is the fastest in Southern California.
Hopefully I'll see you there.

I believe so.
My friend is supposed to go with his Supercharged e46 M3 that ran an 11.5 the last time we were there.
Some other Porsches and BMWs are supposed to come along but I don't know what kind exactly.

We need some more people form here to go.

Im working until 1 on Sat but will drop by for a bit. Interested to see how you guys perform. The weather is great today, nice and cool in the morning with no winds.

I'm seriously considering button with NASA this weekend. Mabye one day at the 1/4 mile. The other day at button?

I don't know esactly how many, but my friend is supposed to be setting up a group of M3s and Porsches.

yup bakersfield in the house haha btw this may be a long shot but is that your M3 parked outside of a Dentist office down Mt Vernon (BC area) i always see it and i've wanted to see who owns it. i only ask because a few weeks ago i saw a blue 4 door 335i with a track set up outside the same place.

Hopefully you guys hang out in beautiful downtown Bakersfield on Saturday night. I'm going to drive at Buttonwillow this weekend instead. But, it'd be cool to hang out with you guys after the tires have been melted.
