first service completed : HALF OF JOB WAS NOT DONE!!! HELP!!!

hey guys,

i just took my car (e92 6 speed manual) for the first service.

I had one slight rattle/vibration sound in the rear deck. other then that all i needed was my first mainence.

Got the car back and:

They claimed that they could not replicate the problem (obviously). thus the rattle was unresolved.

Next issue: first maintnence.

all they did was change the oil as well as drain and change the differencial fluid.

THEY DID NOT: change the microfilter, nor did they change the tranny fluid!!!!

MY car is not dct, it is a manual 6 speed. WERENT THEY SUPPOSE TO CHANGE MY TRANNY FLUID?

Is it a problem that they did not?

Didn't BMW recently change the fluid so that both 6MT and DCT are now lifetime fluids. No replacement needed. Not sure if a microfilter replacement is necessary at 1200 miles either.

They don't change the tranny fluid or the micro filter during the 1200 mile service.

take the service mgr for a ride and point out what you hear on the rear deck noise... it can't get any easier than that...

though I did that for my land rover once and the damn noise would NOT replicated...lol.
