E90 Brake Booster
So it looks like my brake booster diaphragm is blown. I've previously replaced the check valve hose and sealing gasket. Can hear constant hissing from inside booster when engine running. When cold out the brake pedal hisses and sounds like a dog chew toy. I plan on disassembling the old diaphragm to see the damage after the job.
I haven't seen an actual DIY posted for the booster on this model yet so I'll likely just follow one for an E46. For those that have done this kind of job before, is there anything to watch out for? Any knowledge or advice would be appreciated. -remove windshield cowling -drain brake fluid reservoir (syringe/turkey baster) -unfasten and cap DSC hard lines -unfasten and remove master cylinder -remove check valve hose to vacuum pump -unfasten brake pedal from booster inside cabin -unfasten 2 screws beside pedal mounting booster to firewall -replace seals as needed -reverse order -refill reservoir and bleed lines |

You'll also need to do a bench bleed after draining and removing the reservoir. It'll take a long time and a lot of brake fluid to get the air out of it without a bench bleed.
