Leaving the car for the winter

I'm leaving my 2019 330i in NJ for the winter while I head south for 3 months. Is there a way to disconnect the battery or anything else I should do so it won't go dead while I'm gone?

Asking for a friend.

If possible, I would connect a battery tender instead of disconnecting the battery.
