LOL..my friend found out he can fly afterall

This was my friend at Thunderhill this weekend..running backwards thru the T5 bypass...ew look..its superevo!

BTW, this same friend has a track record in Time Trials there...a 1:57. Last time I timed myself..I think I was a 2:14 in my Spec Miata. 17 seconds is a very very long time. It was the other direction..with T5 ...not the bypass..but still ...that time is smokin...or flying...or both.

Any thoughts/complaints from your friend re the reliability of the car? I sometimes wish i got a IX RS instead of a 328

He hasnt had things go wrong that he has discussed with me. it has a roll bar..bigger intercooler..and chip/exhaust/suspension. I think he is sporting 265s on all corners..maybe 275s.

To bad he wasn't on the fast line through the bypass, he'd probably drop even more time, there's probably nearly 1 second in that section by keeping the car on the ground there.

BMW Club Racing. Unfortunatly I haven't been able to drive THill myself, however, I have been up a couple times to coach Last years American Iron California Region Champion. So I've only seen it through video and data. CW looks very fun and potentially faster than CCW. The Bypass makes a really cool passing zone!!!!! It's kinda nice to pass your opponent when they are in mid air and your on the ground powering down the hill!!!!!!!!!

I always thought the wing was ridiculously large for no reason. Now I see it's not big enough..
