Any way to redo SMG gearing?

Hey guys. I can honestly say that I absolutely detest how short the gearing is on the SMG's 1st gear. Its just too low for everyday use. If I ever have to accelerate hard, there is a fair bit of time wasted just in switching to 2nd, almost immediately from a dead stop.

I'm assuming the answer is no, but I thought I'd ask regardless, is there anyway of switching the gearing on these trannies at all? I'd like a fair bit taller 1st gear. Or would this even be possible in the least?
Just thought I'd ask.

Well SMG is associated with the transmission, so it shouldn't have any impact on the rear end gear, which you should be able to change out. Most people want to go for a lower ratio, but you'd want to get a higher ratio.

Disclaimer - I'm not an expert, these are just my educated thoughts.
