OEM Floating centre caps! Yay or nay?

I have to say I was watching a YouTube video the other day and they were on an M2 and they looked pretty cool. I have seen a few other posts on here and I understand it may be a marmite thing.

Just wondering to hear what your thoughts were?

Not for me, would play havoc with my OCD.
Centre caps in line with valve, msport badge and locking wheel nut!

Kindest Regards
Carl.

Like em.

Too expensive for what they are.

First tyre fitter will destroy them no doubt too

Don’t they pop out like normal caps?

I agree they are a lot of money for what they are but I might be tempted to treat myself when I eventually get my wheels refurbed

Not a fan on any vehicle tbh.

Plus with 403M wheels, if the M badge doesn't line up with the centre cap then it looks weird when you're stopped.

I was surprised they weren't more expensive though.

100% no, and I have a chav chariot lowered and many aftermarket parts on.

Plus it's just assignment weight in an unsprung area.

My Old man was offered these on his X3 when it went in for a 4x wheel change due to yet another set of diamond cut issues, he declined when the service manager said they have had them coming back with clogged up mechanisms plus when you see them fitted they don't sit flush in the wheel centre due to the spinning centre.

I have them and love them, of course it's a gimmick but if everyone was the same, life would be boring and I'm not a chav lol

My Partner has them on her X3 and I do have to say I am very jealous. Might have to swap them over on to my Touring hehehe

They are worth it though

Isn't it the one mod you'll never actually see (unless someone else is driving your car past you)?

I'd give them a go.

The new stock caps are shit quality and start bubbling after not long at all.

My e46 and e92 lasted years.

The ones on my 15 plate 435 i can't comment as I had my wheels replaced under warranty after 1.5 years due to the crap quality of those too

My current 640i, I put 4 new centre caps on when I got the car about 1.5 years ago, and they're bubbling/corroding already.
