Best Camera Mounts and Cameras to be used to film trackdays?

Looking to find the best camera and camera mount to for trackdays (probably one that can accept a lipstick cam for motorcycling and snowboarding). I've seen alot of people have some sort of jig coming out of their passenger side headrest that mounts a camera but unsure of where to get it.

I've read a few threads here and cruisecam.com was recommended, and also the Aiptek A-HD 720P 5MP, but I hear has only a small amount of battery life (nearly 30 mins??) and I'm not sure if I can use it triple as a snowboard helmet cam and motorbike cam inside the helmet?

Any information is appreciated, thanks.

i actually just purchased the one from cruise cam. i could not for the life of me remember the name. my freind told me about it a while ago and he forgot the name too. i love taking in car footage, espeically of the tach and speedo. I got the smaller of the mounts, I'll let you know how i like it!

I thought about the Aiptek ones as well but many reviews have said it has poor image quality while moving. Apparently it produces some sort of artificial image blur/distortion. Here's an example I saw on youtube. It makes it look like the lens is full of water if that makes any sense. I don't really know how to describe it.

Chasecame.com also has some good stuff. They have a good selection of suction mounts.

I have the aiptek GoHD 720p 5MP, which seems similar to what you are referring to. It doesn't take good audio in the car.

Great vid cam for filming family picnics and stuff, not so great for filming in car video. Definitely no dice as a helmet camera.

The battery life is a bit more than 30min with continuous recording. if you turn down the LCD brightness it helps a bit
