New here.. lowering and need advice/pics
Hey yall! Ready to start modifying my 2015 320i xdrive. starting with suspension. Ive used eibach pro kit in the past but feel .8" drop might not be enough, and the sportline option might be too low. Anyone have pics of either installed? And what shocks/struts would be best? This is a DD.
Any info/advice is appreciated!

there are two eibach pro-kits, 5-22(0.8"/0.6") and 6-22(lower than 5-22). xpro has pics of both here... https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=10
i'd get the eibach 6-22 with koni sport yellow dampers. |

6-22 must be the sportlines? I'm thinking I'll probably go with the prokit. I'm also not throwing a coil over set out the door I just don't know much about them yet.

If you go with smaller drop you would be in range to use Koni Special Active Shocks. Developed with McLaren it works at two frequencies to be a sport shock and comfort shock. I've had this combo for two years and they are awesome! |

Awesome ty! So another question... anyone here have KW coilovers installed and if so what are your thoughts? Worth the $1,400?

if you're looking to save money you can also look into ST coilovers, very close to the KW V1 (ST X) and V2 (ST XA), except the KW's are stainless steel so hold up much better to corrosion and have a lifetime warranty. the ST's are galvanized, so snow and salt roads won't be kind, and a 5 year warranty.. I live in SoCal so went with the ST XA's and they feel great, slightly firmer than stock and still very comfortable.. only negative thing I noticed was once I hit a bumpy part of the road at ~50/60mph and it felt a little rough, not sure if a better coilover would have handled it much better, but maybe.. or may need to adjust mine because it's set in the middle now.

Thanks for the info! Im learning alot about coilovers. Once Installed do you have option to bring back to stock height and lower it down when wanted? Ive also heard you need to get an alignment every time you adjust height... that true?

not sure if the coilovers will be at stock height, but they let you adjust how much of a drop you want to a degree, some coilovers go lower than others but my goal wasn't to go low just reduce some wheel gap and keep it comfortable. as for needing alignment, it is recommended when messing with the height of the car, the more you lower it, the more it will be off.

Ok cook. Thanks for the response. Its tricky trying to figure all this out and its a bit pricey! I'm leaning toward the H&R street kit. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on that kit?

Different coilovers kits come in different adjustment ranges so don't just assume that stock height is within that range. Verify

Yes thats true. So what I want to achieve is the option to go to stock height "roughly " and be able to lower up to 2".
Im looking at the kw v1, Bilstein b14 and HR. I've never had coilovers. How hard is it to adjust the height?

not hard, there are 2 nuts on the coilover, one that locks and one that sets the height. loosen the locking one and it allows you to spin the height adjusting one up or down, amd then adjust the locking one again against the height nut. only thing time consuming is getting the car on a jack and removing the tire
