Launch date new BMW's

According to the overview provided on the website of auto, motor und sport (http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de), we will still have to wait a couple of months on the E92 and E93 and the M versions. The E92 is planned for September, the E93 for begin 2008, the M version of the E91 would come in 2007, before the E90 M that would only come in 2008.

E90 M3 in 2008?

That's outrageous!!!

I wish Audi and VW would make some good competion for BMW to make it design and engeeneer cars faster.

That' what the chart says... Don't know where they get their info, but it is a German site, so I suppose they should know what they are talking about...

I'm confused here. I'm clear the E92 is planned for Sept 2006, but when is the E92 M version planned to be out?

The e92 is 2006 Sept. production as an 07 model.

The Mcoupe/sedan are going into production in 2007 as an 08 model.

You wait my friend.... the R8 is on its way, as is the new TT and the others down the road. And now that Audi is racing using diesel in the R10 things will get real fun, that thing is insane and Audi really does transfer what it learns from racing into the production engines! I just want to see how they go about the new rear wheel drive bias of the quattro and the placement of the engine behind the wheels in the next generation a4 as has been alluded to elsewhere. The rs4 is previewing a lot of the future technology. I think it will be a fun couple of years!

I agree, the B8 chasis of the new Audi A4 line, as well as Audi's across-the line-up tech sweep (all major components, MMi, suspension-magnaride etc. will be available across all model lines) will make it very interesting.

And if the speculations as to how the new Audis will look hold true, it will get very difficult to make a choice.

Either way, we winn.

Umm... this chart has to be BS. The M3 touring is not coming out before the M3 sedan, and where the heck is the M3 coupe?

Furthermore, the E93 is rather far in the development stage as evidence by the pictures. It will not take until 2008 for it to happen.

I suspect the following dates to be the "absolute" latest possible introductions:

E92 Sept 06 (US)
E93 Feb/Mar 07 (US)

this is just weird. why would they release the wagon way before the coupe? doesn't make sense.

If E90 335 SOP is sept, then we are looking at Nov deliveries in NA. How will they manage the 2007 model year transition?

Good question...I think they will just stretch out the 325/330 production...the 328 has an SOP of September also.

BMW always changes model year in September

Only the US marketing side has different dates

Right, so will the US get stuck with the awkward situation of starting the 2007 model year without the 335, or will they delay the initiation of the 2007 models until Nov, or wait until mid-year (Jan ...) to release the E90 335?
