I am about to go in for one year service vist. My car is fantastic. No limp mode . No hpfp problems. Nothing but acceleration and fun. A real good build, I'm lucky.I went to the dealer the other day to make my first maintanance appointment. My SA was with me and I asked nicely that the software upgarde not be done. They assured me no problem if I did not want it. (2008 e92 335I deliverded 10/10/07 ). My friends this car is stock/stock/stock and it flys.
Now my question? What recourse do I have if they go to the current ecu software upgrade, that I have heard causes turbo lag. Is there any recourse in this situiation. Thanks for your advise. Bill |

I don't see why they would upgrade your car if it doesn't have any problems. But if they do upgrade it, make sure it is the v31 since some people are already saying that the lag problem was fixed with that one.

A software upgrade could be required if they have to replace a module of any kind as well as if there is a campaign open for the car.
