Hello, I just got my rotors changed in october 2019, is it normal for my rotors to look like this after 7 months usage?

Pretty hard to tell from the picture, but if that is rust then I'd say it's normal. The rest of the marks are not normal.

Its not about duration...its about milage and how hard u drive or how heavy ur foot on the brakes..... at the outer edge of the rotor....i see a big lip....and usually this is not visable to the eye...so if it is visible to the eye...it means ur brake hard amd probably u meed to replace it....as i recall....the normal replacement cycule is after 3 - 5 mm of the rotor wear...u meed to replace it....and probably from what i see...its more than 5 mm of wear.

That lip is normal in places that regularly get rain, doubly so in areas that regularly get snow, triply so where the roads are salted to control snow and ice. The rest of whatever that pitting and scratching is most definitely is not normal.

That rust on the rotor surface where the pad is making contact definitely is abnormal. Is that only at that one location on that rotor or is it evident in other locations. The only time i recall seeing that type of rust pitting is when a rotor had been left exposed to water for a long period of time and was compromised. If you have sufficient "meat" on the rotor you may be able to get them turned, otherwise new rotors are probably in order.

Could be pad material unevenly deposited, as opposed to rust. If it is rust in deep pits, machining or replacing the rotors is in order.

Some spirited braking (pad bedding procedure) will clear up the pad deposits.

I've never seen that happen to 7 month old rotors. Maybe on something that has been parked in the elements for a couple of years- AKA "Barn Find". Unless you have acid eating them- that's strange. Where did you get the rotors and what brand. Have you contacted the installer/vendor? I have a 141,000 on my original rotors and I have none of that!
