Climate Control Auto AC?
Does the climate control automatically shut off the AC if it doesn't need it? Mine always turns itself on as soon as I push the "Auto" button. It never goes off. I know I don't need it most of the times, especially if it's not hot or if it's not raining (humiditiy), so why does it think it needs AC ?

According to the manual "The cooling function is automatically switched
on along with the AUTO program". To me, it seems that the AC runs continuously. In my previous cars (Acura TL and Civic Hybrid), I believe they were supposed to be turned on an off as necessary but I always felt the AC was constantly running. Difference, at least visually, was that when you selected Auto, it would only show "Auto" in the display and the AC light did not turn on as with the BMWs even though it was running. |

Strangely, it does not automatically engage RECIRC mode for cooling even though the philosophy seems to be that engaging the AC makes it "fully " automatic. MAX AC engages recirc, but otherwise it has to be done manually.
