Growing up, I was never a cat guy because my grandmother was foolishly superstitious and believe they brought bad luck. But a few years ago, hanging out late in the summertime, a whole family of feline use to come visit me everyday, just to hang out and just fell into love with the species. I then encountered cats that were lost, abandon, shoved aside because the owners didn't want them or it was pregnant but bringing that cat in, seeing them in my home, flourish, respond to love and affection is one of the best feelings in the world! They actually know and remember the look and sound of my car, it's very impressive. |

Could be an idea for a dedicated "M2 and pets" thread.
Cats are cool creatures. I had several in the past. Can't have one anymore as I travel way too much. From "Cats Uncovered" - BBC:

I've almost had every single domestic creature as a pet imaginable but I'm just infatuated with these little wanders and would love a dedicated cars and pets section, especially to pass the time. My morning coffee cup and my previous pets: |

And if you every look at any Wolverine movie, his sharp nails are detract when walking, only when he's angry or needs them, are they erected, so it's not liked they're walking around all the time with icepicks in their feet. |

The boys Mushu and Enzo( Black and Tan). Girlfriend had Mushu before we got together and got Enzo last year (she picked the name). His ride home was in the M2. They both are surprisingly cool with spirited back road driving and just nap in her lap.

Its like some urban Jungle Book and even after a few years, I've never notice any scratches onto the paint. The a lot of paw prints and cat hair but nothing permanent. OEM clear-coat is tough, it protects the inner paint, that nails would not be able to harm and micro-scratches can be the result of anything but can be easily buffed out, with compound.. You really have to go in with something sharp to really penetrate the paint and etch it. I wouldn't care if they did, I can't do much anyways but from personal experience, I can't blame cats for any paint damage but if someone has irrefutable proof of this, please share. |
