Possible to put E90 M3 bumper on E90?

Has anyone done this? I don't see why this wouldn't fit, unless the E90 M3 has slightly wider rear fenders.

Are you talking front or rear??

Several have done the front on the E92. A couple have also done the rear...which needed some body work done to make the rear fenders flow with the quarter panels. I think there is even one E93 that was done overseas.

I only know of 1 person that has done this for the sedan (me ). The problem with the front is that you do have to change several body panels, not just the bumper b/c of the flare AND different headlights needed.

Go here to get an idea of what needs to be done.

Your ride looks great! Did you do the rear M3 bumper? That's what I was wondering.

I should have specified but I'm wondering only about the rear M3 bumper on the sedans.

Negative. We left it with Mtech rear bumper, Eisenmann quad exhaust, and currently has OEM decklid spoiler.

I think that doing the rear will only happen if:

1. you also change the quarter panels (will require cutting metal and rewelding of OEM part)

2. you get a body shop to flare out your fender panels to match up with the rear bumper portion that is flared.

3. you need a new exhaust to match up with the rear bumper center openings of the M3 quad exhaust.

I like it as is. It has been a good mutt so far.

Oh, and to answer your question specifically. No...I do not believe anyone has done this to the sedan. It will not directly fit onto the stock E90 without some other modifications.

seriously, consider the current price of a fully optioned E92/93 plus the cost of mod it with M3 body parts. it is probably cheaper just buy a M3.

Okay, I guess I never realized the M3 had wider rear fenders compared to a regular E90. Thanks for the help guys!

Some of us what the style without the temptation.. I wanted an m3 sedan but i got to thinking if i have a 400hp motor im going to use it and gas prices here in italy are like 5.30 euro a gallon (Aka $7.60 PER G). and i have a wife and kid.. no need to be going 170mph down any road with your wife and kid.

Ohh yeah and someone was selling a front end kit for the e90 sedan on this website, it was hood fenders front bumper headlight mounts... headlights were extra.. a complete conversion for the sedan front end to look like the m3.

later
