KW Street Comfort and EDC Delete - F30 335i xDrive
I have a 2015 F30 335i xDrive with EDC at about 57k miles now. Warranty expires today and I'm having an intermittent "wheel acc sensor" issue that causes the suspension to ride horribly when it trips. Never been very impressed by the suspension since I've owned it over the past 20k+ miles anyway and looking to go to coilovers like the KW V1 I had on a 2010 335.
KW offers 2 versions of the Street Comforts for F30 xDrive, 1802000U with the cancelling kit for EDC cars and 1802000S for non-EDC. There is a large price difference between these kits so I was thinking about just going with the non-EDC kit and code it out (I have the software and have successfully coded before including LED tail lights and other VO options). I called KW to confirm compatibility as their site claims none of the KW SC kits fit a 2015 xDrive and they claim 2015 is fine, but the EDC kit has a different front shock/strut part number in addition to the cancelling kit. He couldn't confirm what was different about it though. I've read a few posts about people ordering various coilover kits and then coding out EDC without issue. Is it safe to buy the non-EDC versions and code it out? Is there a difference in the endlink connection point or anything that I'm over looking or just simply has a plug on the shock body that cancels the system out that I don't really need?
