Key Remote 'lock' badge

Has anyone else lost there little BMW badge from the 'lock' button on there key... and if so any ideas where I can get one???

I know its really trivial but its also really annoying me ! I am using the other key at the moment but I just know that tucked away in the draw at home is my other key with no badge!

I checked all the obvious places... short of pilfering one from someone else's keys I don't know where to go..

Any ideas?

Go book a test drive at your stealer. The key they give you may have a badge that gets 'lost' during your drive

Hi,

Yes I lost the little BMW badge from my key too. My key was replaced under warranty by the dealer. If your car is under warranty you should get a replacement key at no cost.

Yer mine was lost by the dealer.. then eventually they replaced it under warranty. Though I wouldn'r be suprised if it just came from another car and wasn't brand new.

Actually mine fell off the other day. Told my service advisor and he ordered me a new one and covered it under warranty. It was in within a day. However, they usually have them in stock. Good Luck!

Yeah the little BMW badge on the lock button in the middle! It goes into the stealers on Monday to get the wheels refurbed (the lacquer is pealing of from when I bought it) and I get a wet patch ;-) in my drivers foot well... I'm gonna try and get a new key then whilst i've got my friendly dealer on his back foot!!

Well it went into the stealers, I told them about the key and they were reluctant, but I said that I know others that have had a new key.... impressively it came back with a new key complete with roundel!

Glad I never nicked the roundel from the car they gave me now!!!!

Mine hasn't fallen off, however has discoloured quite badly. Normally doesn't bother me however when we got the new 1 series with the nice new shiny key, I did think it would nice to have a new one.

Just stumbled upon this thread thanks to 'tricky'. My missus handed me the keys back about 6 months ago with the sticker missing; I just couldn't be bothered doing anything about it. I'm amazed dealers would change a whole key-fob under warranty just because of a missing sticker; aren't replacement keys pretty expensive (when compared to a new sticker).

That said, I think I'll call my dealer to see what they say...
