2009 E90 Headlight Retrofit
Has anyone thought about buying replacement lights for the facelifted 09 models with the clear turn reflectors and replacing their 06-08's headlights?
I inquired with my dealer and they didn't have any information available on these parts yet. |

I wonder I can just buy the shell light in 2009 style
if I can use my existing ballast and bulbs then it will be alot cheaper any thoughts?

I guess we have to wait until some smart guys in US try the swap first.
I wouldn't mind to try it if someone can post a set of part# so I know what to buy. I am more interested in buying just the shell fixtures (without the hardware) than the complete unit to reduce the cost. I wonder US spec xenon is the same as the Canadian ones?

doesnt look like the Halogen lights are LED. The xenons are for sure, but it looks like the halogens use a bulb like the currrent headlight.

I would be very interested to see how this plays out. Not a big fan of the orange reflector, and would be quite happy to retrofit euro 08 xenon housings, but if it's not too much of a PITA to sub-in 09 LED's.... well, that's a no-brainer.
