UK Audio Upgrade

Just bought an f31 330d.

I'd wanted HK Audio but ended up with the Hi-Fi midrange system... which is OK.

Just been reading about the BimmerTech Alpha One speakers and amp. Look great but can't find any in the UK.

Has anyone upgraded using a similar plug and play kit in the UK?

Best one over here is the Gladen One 201 Extreme I believe:

Or you could look at just a speaker upgrade, for example Focal. They do a full range of direct replacement units.
To be fair, with decent speakers, the Hi-Fi amp isn't too shabby at all. I did this in my previous E90.

Yes there were a few members that ran the gladen speakers from the stock amp and said they were still a massive improvement, one even just had the base system head unit amp.

cool thank you. I'd not heard of these so I'll take a look.

I've not been on this forum long. Do speaker sets like this ever come up in the classifieds?

Only once in the last 2 years.

If you’re not adding an amp then the non Extreme version will do:

Thanks. I'd probably try them on their own for now and add an amp later if required but with a separate sub, so the normal underseats will be fine and I can just add a 35-40hz subsonic filter as and when I add an amp.

Is that website the only place to get them these days then? Had a quick look around without much luck but there are a couple of audio shops around I can call on Monday to see if they can supply.

I assume they just supply them through that site, or through authorised installers.

I changed from base hi-fi to a mosconi-gladen setup in my e91.
It was a really good setup.
I used the Extreme version and a Small 4 Channel amp.
