It doesn't look that different in the car - my console poplar is actually slightly lighter than the dash which is closer to theknob/handle. WThey're very slightly darker - wood is probably from different trees.... ;-) . Easy install, but not cheap. Circle has the knob for about $160; the brake handle about $140.

I don't know why they dont have these standard. Well, at least the shift nob should be matching which ever trim people choose.
