Auto shifter
Need help.
The light on my auto gear selector has stopped working. Phoned local bmw dealer who told me they would need to have a look at it to see if the whole unit needs replaced. £130 just to tell me what’s wrong with it. Pretty sure I could buy a new unit and replace it myself for less than that. I’m assuming if the light is faulty the whole unit needs replaced? Any help would be great. Cheers |

I swapped mine. Car originally had the non sport shifter. Swapped it for the sports one. Plug and play. No coding needed.
