Looking for a bit help on the map update.

It says auto update but i think its still using 2017-2. Whereas the bottom has 2019 but nothing I click has any link.

I’m sure that means something like the main map install is 2017-2, but you’re now running 2019-2 after the auto updates for UK maps ( I think EU only updates via usb update and not over the air)
Is your car a 2017 build? Ours is and I’m sure it shows the same info, albeit a different map 👍

I'm assuming it's pro nav since it has the HK Setup (shadow edition)

Mine used to download map updates and ask me if I wanted to use them. Always said yes.

It was only in 2019 that I realised I was still running 2016-2. Odd

I’m not sure HK means you definitely have pro nav, as you still had to spec Pro nav on a Shadow Edition (which if I remember, is what gives you HK, M Sport brakes etc). Have you got widescreen display, or the smaller screen with plastic edges (it’s a bit hard to tell from the photo). Pro nav also has the larger, touch pad iDrive controller

I have a 2017 Shadow edition with HK but it's not pro nav. I have the smaller screen and controller

So it seems it isn't pro. I thought it came as standard. So they upgrade the speakers without the hu.

Yes - is possible to have the shadow editions with both pro and standard nav.

OTA only updates the UK map, which you have the latest version. If you want to update the full Europe map you need to do USB update from the connected drive website.

What Teaston said - If you want a full update, sadly need to use USB from connected drive.

What's the file size and I guess I'm plugging it into the centre console USB. I think I have a spare 16 or 32gb somewhere.

I've since had a look at the vin build sheet and it confirms:

S606A - Navigation system Business

It's no biggie as the navigation is adequate for what I need and the voice search is great if I tone down the Geordie accent. Just surprised more than owt else.

Hi, sadly you'll need 64gb as it doesn't fit on a 32gb.

I'll borrow the microsd from the dashcam and pop it in a adaptor and then into a USB adaptor.
